Community based preventative service primarily for children and adolescents between 5 and 18 years by referral. The NYP furthermore involves itself in initiating, supporting and promoting the community’s ongoing development. This process happens in liaison with individual members of the community and /or community based organisations/associations. The Mayfield NYP currently consists of 6 project staff, whose professional backgrounds vary from social work to youth and community work, secretarial work and several sessional staff depending on the context of programmes developed. The Projects is a Health Services Executive Agency but also has a local management committee.

The club provides an alternative to young people aged 15-19 years to the pub culture by demonstrating that a lifestyle in which the use of alcohol and drugs is seen as unnecessary to the enjoyment of a good, happy cheerful social life for young people. Monday Night: 7pm – 8.30pm

Provides outdoor and indoor activities for girls and boys from 6 to 16 years. Beavers - Monday 6.00pm to 7.15pm. and Cubs - Monday 7.15pm to 8.45pm. - St. Joseph’s National School.
